What is the difference between precision spot welding machine and seam welding machine
Precision spot welding machine is suitable for welding tungsten molybdenum materials for sensors, LEDs and their leads, copper foil and enameled wires, relays, electronic sockets, and electro-optical applications. So what is the difference between precision spot welding machine and seam welding machine?
1. Difference: The electrodes of precision spot welding machines are two cylindrical shapes, suitable for welding overlapped plates; The electrodes of the seam welding machine are two wheels, suitable for manufacturing sealed box types;
2. A seam welding machine refers to a resistance welding machine that assembles welded parts into lap or butt joints and places them between two roller electrodes. The roller electrodes apply pressure to the welded parts and rotate them, continuously or intermittently pulsating to form a continuous weld seam. It can also be said that seam welding machine is an evolution of spot welding. Seam welding is widely used in the manufacturing of joints that require sealing, and sometimes it is also used to weld ordinary non sealing sheet metal parts. The thickness of the welded metal material is usually between 0.1-2.5mm.
3. The precision spot welding machine system adopts the principle of double-sided double point overcurrent welding. During operation, the two electrodes apply pressure to the workpiece, causing a certain contact resistance between the two layers of metal under the pressure of the two electrodes. When the welding current flows from one electrode to the other electrode, an instant thermal fusion is formed at the two contact resistance points, and the welding current instantly flows from the other electrode along the two workpieces to this electrode to form a circuit, without damaging the internal structure of the welded workpiece.
